Job Title: Online Science Tutor

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Employment Type: Part-time

Job Description

The Online Science Tutor will deliver interactive and personalized tutoring sessions in various science subjects for middle and high school students. The role requires creating engaging lessons, simplifying complex concepts, and guiding students to strengthen their problem-solving abilities through an online learning platform.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled online science tutoring sessions
• Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning styles and student needs
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Develop learning materials including worksheets and quizzes
• Keep accurate records of attendance and student performance

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in a science-related discipline
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience in science is required
• Online teaching experience will be an added advantage

Requirements

• Reliable internet connection with a quiet and professional workspace
• Functional webcam and microphone for online communication
• Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends to suit student availability

Skills

• Strong knowledge of core science subjects
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly
• Patience and empathy to support students with different learning abilities
• Proficiency in online teaching tools such as Zoom, Google Meet, and interactive whiteboards
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Remuneration

This position offers competitive hourly pay. The exact rate will be shared with shortlisted candidates during the interview process.
