Role Overview
The Pharmacy Technician will support daily pharmacy operations by assisting with prescription handling, inventory management, and patient communication. The role requires accuracy, professionalism, and a commitment to quality healthcare service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and dispensing prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Receive and confirm prescription orders from patients or healthcare providers
- Monitor stock levels, restock supplies, and remove expired medications
- Provide medication usage guidance to patients when instructed by the pharmacist
- Maintain accurate patient and medication records
- Keep the pharmacy work area clean and well organized
- Follow all hospital policies, regulatory rules, and safety procedures
- Support billing processes and assist with medical insurance claim submissions
Qualifications and Skills
- Pharmacy Technician certification or OND in a related field
- Valid licence or certification as a Pharmacy Technician
- Experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy is an added advantage
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Salary
N120,000 per month
