Job Title: Procurement Officer
Location: Ibadan, Oyo State
Employment Type: Full Time
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete procurement cycle from requisition to delivery
- Prepare, review, and expedite purchase orders to ensure timely supply
- Source, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with vendors
- Negotiate contracts and terms to achieve cost savings
- Monitor and manage inventory to guarantee the availability of essential items
- Work with the finance team to reconcile invoices and process vendor payments on time
- Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulations
- Support budget planning and cost control initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience as a Procurement Officer or similar position
- Experience in Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, FMCG, or Engineering is an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, vendor management, and contract negotiation
- Proficiency in procurement and ERP software
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and reporting
- Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation abilities
- Professional certification is a strong advantage
