Role Overview

We are seeking a smart, organized, and proactive Procurement Officer to manage and oversee purchasing activities across ValueMart Supermarket and StaanBite Fast Food. The ideal candidate must have strong skills in vendor management, price negotiation, market sourcing, and ensuring the timely supply of quality goods at competitive prices.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best pricing and quality

• Raise purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods

• Monitor market trends and adjust procurement strategies where necessary

• Conduct supplier performance reviews and maintain a reliable vendor database

• Ensure all procured items meet required quality standards

• Collaborate with the inventory and accounts teams to reconcile deliveries and invoices

• Prevent stock shortages through effective planning and regular replenishment

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation

• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising product quality

Qualifications

• OND, HND, or B.Sc in Business, Supply Chain, or any related field

• 1–4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the supermarket, retail, or food industry

Skills

• Strong negotiation and communication skills

• Good knowledge of basic procurement processes and documentation

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• High level of integrity, organization, and attention to detail

• Must reside within or close to Abule-Egba, Agege, Iyana-Ipaja, Alimosho, or Alakuko

Salary & Benefits

• Attractive monthly salary of N90,000 – N120,000 (based on experience)
