Role Overview

The Quality Control Officer will support the bakery production team by ensuring that all products meet required quality and safety standards. The role involves checking raw materials, monitoring production activities, and confirming that finished products meet regulatory and company expectations. The officer will also help maintain hygiene practices and document daily quality checks.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, items in process, and finished bakery products to confirm they meet quality standards.
• Monitor production activities to ensure consistency and compliance with recipes and set specifications.
• Carry out routine hygiene checks and environmental inspections in production areas.
• Document all quality assessments and prepare reports for management review.
• Identify issues or non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
• Work with the production team to support continuous quality improvement.
• Ensure compliance with NAFDAC, SON, and other relevant food safety regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in a food manufacturing or bakery environment.
• Good knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and general food safety practices.
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
• Effective communication and report-writing skills.

Salary

N200,000 to N250,000 per month.
