Job Title: Radiology Technician
Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure patient safety and follow radiologic standards of care during imaging procedures
- Calibrate and operate imaging equipment to capture clear and accurate results as directed by physicians
- Sterilize and store equipment properly, conduct regular maintenance checks, and report equipment issues promptly
- Complete patient intake processes, document medical histories, and explain imaging procedures clearly to patients
- Review patients’ charts and doctors’ notes before examinations while maintaining strict confidentiality
- Log and organize image results, develop films, and work closely with radiologists to ensure quality imaging
- Coordinate with the radiology department for scheduling and completion of procedures
- Assist the radiographer with patient positioning and provide attentive care throughout the imaging process
- Transmit images using digitizers for printing, ensuring accurate diagnostic information is captured
- Provide clear guidance and reassurance to patients about special imaging procedures
- Efficiently use RIS (Radiology Information System) and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) software for patient registration and record management
Qualifications
- Diploma in Radiology Technology or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution
- 2 – 4 years of relevant work experience
- Valid license or registration with a recognized professional body
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities for accurate interpretation of results
- Proficiency in operating radiographic technology and equipment
- Knowledge of RIS and EMR software for efficient documentation and record keeping
- Commitment to best practices, safety standards, and high-quality care
- Team-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
