Job Description
We are looking for a Ride Testing Officer who will play a key role in assessing and onboarding prospective drivers. The ideal candidate will ensure that drivers meet the required standards for safety, skills, and mental fitness.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engaging prospective drivers and testing overall driving ability
- Carrying out visual acuity tests to identify possible eye defects
- Conducting psychometric tests to confirm mental health status
- Ensuring safety cones are properly placed for driving assessments
- Assessing understanding of safety measures and road laws
- Confirming reverse driving ability
- Guiding drivers through the recruitment process
- Documenting and reporting performance results
Requirements
- 0–1 year experience in a related role
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate in the local dialect of the business area
- Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage
- Good analytical and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes
- Familiarity with traffic laws and highway codes
- Ability to give clear instructions and maintain concentration
- Basic knowledge of vehicles
- High interpersonal skills and ability to work well with people
