Role Overview
The Rig Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the maintenance and safe operation of all rig equipment and related systems. The role oversees maintenance activities across the rig, supports compliance requirements, and serves as the primary technical contact for asset integrity processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee maintenance and operation of rig equipment, systems, and software
• Provide technical support on QHSE requirements connected to asset integrity activities
• Support HSE leadership through safety awareness practices and field engagement
• Ensure technical barriers in the Safety Case are maintained and effective
• Manage rig technical documentation, including manuals, drawings, certificates, and registers
• Ensure quality control of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Serve as CMMS superuser and train rig personnel on correct usage
• Respond to technical queries from internal and external parties
Qualifications and Skills
• Minimum of a High School certificate or equivalent
• At least 8 years of oilfield experience
• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Rig Maintenance Supervisor or similar role on an offshore installation
• Valid Offshore Survival certification (OPITO BOSIET/FOET)
• Valid Offshore Medical certification (OEUK)
• Strong knowledge of rig maintenance, safety systems, and asset integrity processes
• Ability to provide hands-on technical guidance and support
