Job Title: SBU Compliance Review Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Type: Full-time

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the Team Lead in implementing compliance monitoring plans across Strategic Business Units
• Assist in reviewing frameworks to ensure timely reporting to regulatory authorities
• Provide support in responding to regulatory enquiries and examination reports related to SBU activities
• Monitor adherence to compliance policies, legal, and regulatory requirements while assisting with enforcement when necessary
• Escalate recurring compliance issues or breaches to the Team Lead for further review and resolution
• Prepare investigation reports based on findings from compliance activities
• Participate in compliance risk assessment workshops organized by the Compliance Conduct and Advisory Unit
• Conduct spot checks to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance processes and procedures
• Perform additional responsibilities as may be assigned

Requirements

Education

• First degree in Law, Banking & Finance, or any related discipline

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in compliance or related functions within the financial services sector
• Practical experience in implementing and advising on compliance programmes
