Role Overview

We are looking for a Science Editor to join our editorial team. This role involves reviewing and improving science-based educational materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and high publishing standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and able to work well with deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate submitted manuscripts
• Build and manage book title lists
• Review science and educational materials for quality and relevance
• Edit content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency
• Carry out copy editing and fact checking
• Proofread manuscripts before publication
• Perform other related duties assigned by the Head of Department

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in core science courses from a recognised institution
• Master’s degree is an added advantage
• Strong attention to detail
• Good writing and communication skills
• Ability to work well with others in a team
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Computer literacy with good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools

Salary

N100,000 to N150,000 per month
