Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Backend Developer to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing scalable, high-performance backend systems that power our digital pharmaceutical solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and experience in building enterprise-grade platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend architectures for high-traffic e-commerce platforms
• Lead the development of core modules including order processing, payment systems, inventory, and user services
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to define and deliver technical requirements
• Ensure security of payment transactions and protection of sensitive customer data
• Apply best practices in clean code, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and resolve complex technical issues in live systems
• Research and integrate emerging technologies to improve platform performance and user experience

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of backend development experience
• Proficiency in Java or Go (Spring Boot / flamingo-commerce) with strong RESTful API design skills
• Proven track record in building scalable e-commerce platforms or similar large-scale systems
• Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL, Redis, and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git), APIs, and modern build tools
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Ability to work on-site with a collaborative team in Ikeja

Salary

N500,000 – N900,000 per month
