Job Title: Senior National Consultant – Jigawa LQAS Survey

Assignment Overview
We are seeking an experienced public health professional to lead data coordination and analysis for the End-of-Round (EoR) evaluation using the Lot Quality Assurance Sampling (LQAS) approach. The consultant will supervise field data collection teams, provide training, and deliver a comprehensive report across multiple states.

Project Scope
The evaluation will support the MDA-AZM program in Kaduna, Kebbi, Jigawa, Adamawa, and Gombe states. The consultant will play a key role in organizing training, supervising data collection, performing analysis, and reporting findings that will guide future program decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the full survey process, including training agenda development and pre/post-tests
  • Supervise and train National Consultants, State Supervisors, and Data Collectors
  • Lead data quality control, cleaning, and analysis using STATA
  • Compile state-level data into a unified dataset based on the study protocol
  • Deliver a consolidated technical report with findings and strategic recommendations
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations for national-level dissemination
  • Collaborate with Malaria Consortium to access all required templates and data support

Expected Deliverables

  • Detailed training agenda for all involved personnel
  • Training delivery guide with quality standards and facilitation tips
  • Digital supervision checklist with defined monitoring indicators
  • Pre- and post-test tools to evaluate knowledge acquisition
  • Comprehensive data analysis plan and STATA do-file
  • Clean, consolidated national dataset
  • Final national technical report using the provided format
  • Presentation slide deck summarizing findings, lessons, and recommendations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Health, Statistics, Demography, or related field
  • 10–15 years of post-qualification experience, with a minimum of 10 years in public health research
  • Strong command of Kobocollect, SurveyCTO, STATA, and other data tools
  • Proven ability to train and lead diverse teams
  • Strong technical writing and data interpretation skills
  • Proficiency in local languages is an advantage
  • Availability for the full duration of the project
  • Must be based in Abuja and not affiliated with any MDA-AZM program or state health ministry

Additional Advantages

  • Previous work experience with Malaria Consortium or in Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention (SMC) is highly valued
