Role Overview

We are hiring a Senior Sales Manager to lead our nationwide sales operations. This role is ideal for a passionate, target-driven professional with strong leadership skills and a background in FMCG or agro-processing. The successful candidate will drive revenue, develop strategies, manage teams, and grow client relationships to achieve our sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a detailed annual sales and marketing strategy aligned with company goals
  • Lead and coordinate regional and national sales teams to achieve revenue targets
  • Identify and onboard high-performing key distributors; monitor and review their performance regularly
  • Train, coach, and manage regional sales managers for optimal team performance
  • Design and execute effective Route-to-Market plans per region to enhance product visibility and availability
  • Conduct regular market visits and support implementation of promotional campaigns
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across key accounts
  • Monitor sales metrics, analyze data, and implement performance improvement strategies
  • Conduct competitive analysis to guide pricing and volume decisions for both existing and new products

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage)
  • 8–10 years of experience in FMCG sales, including 5+ years in a senior/executive role
  • Proven success managing high-performing nationwide sales teams
  • Strong understanding of the Nigerian and West African market
  • Experience in distributor management, regional operations, and modern trade
  • Solid commercial planning skills and knowledge of channel opportunities
