Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Shift Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to support production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in industrial automation, electrical systems, maintenance activities, and PLC troubleshooting within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain Siemens PLCs, drives, and industrial automation systems
• Conduct preventive, predictive, target-based, and breakdown maintenance on production machines
• Maintain and repair AC, DC, and SEMO motors, including cranes and forklifts
• Diagnose and repair electrical and instrumentation components such as:

  • PLCs and drives

  • Temperature and pressure transmitters

  • Heaters, motors, and encoders

  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems

  • Sensors and automation devices
    • Ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime through effective maintenance practices
    • Support continuous improvement, equipment upgrades, and process optimization initiatives
    • Maintain accurate documentation, maintenance logs, and shift activity reports

Qualifications and Skills

• B.Sc., B.Tech., or HND in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering
• 3–5 years hands-on experience in FMCG or manufacturing (mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of Siemens PLCs, industrial drives, and control systems
• Proven experience in maintaining motors, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic systems
• Excellent troubleshooting, fault-finding, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently during shift operations with minimal supervision
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and equipment reliability

Salary

N200,000 – N300,000 monthly
