Role Overview
The Sonographer will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound and radiographic examinations to support accurate medical diagnoses. The role involves producing clear, high-quality images, identifying abnormalities, maintaining imaging equipment, and ensuring strict compliance with patient safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic sonographic examinations of organs and tissues.

Generate clear and accurate medical images to support clinical diagnosis.

Identify abnormalities and document findings appropriately for patient records.

Ensure proper patient positioning and comfort during imaging procedures.

Monitor, maintain, and requisition radiographic and ultrasound equipment and supplies.

Ensure compliance with patient care standards, safety guidelines, and infection control protocols.

Maintain accurate imaging records in line with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications and Skills

B.Sc Degree or Diploma in Radiography, Medical Imaging, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in ultrasound and general radiography.

Valid certification or license from RRBN or a recognized regulatory body.

Strong knowledge of imaging protocols, human anatomy, and pathology recognition.

High attention to detail and commitment to patient care and safety.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary
N300,000 – N350,000 per month
