Malaria Consortium Project
Malaria Consortium, established in 2003, is a global non-profit focused on the prevention, control, and treatment of malaria and other communicable diseases. In collaboration with the National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP), the organisation will implement an insecticide-treated nets (ITNs) distribution campaign in Ondo State in August 2025. Alongside this, Malaria Consortium will carry out research to assess the coverage, usage, and impact of the campaign.
Position: Supervisor (Data Entry)

Purpose of the Role
This role supports an entomology survey focused on assessing insecticide resistance among malaria vectors in Ondo State. As a Data Entry Supervisor, you will oversee the accurate input of data from entomology fieldwork into Epidata software, ensuring the production of a clean and validated dataset.
Scope of Work
The project involves the double entry and validation of entomology data collected during studies in Ondo and Anambra States. These studies involve the collection and coding of mosquitoes using CDC light traps and other entomological tools.
Each data entry clerk will input 20 forms per day for 23 days. You will validate the entries and reconcile any inconsistencies by cross-checking with the original forms completed by field teams. All personnel involved will be trained in Akure before deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily activities of assigned data clerks
- Validate and clean datasets using Epidata software
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in entries
- Maintain communication with the field team to clarify unclear data
- Submit clean, validated datasets for each round of data collection
- Compile and submit a final report detailing team performance, challenges faced, and recommendations
Deliverables
- Fully cleaned and reconciled dataset for each survey round
- Written activity report summarizing the data entry process and findings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management
- Proficient in Epidata or other similar data entry tools
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective report writing skills in English
- Ability to manage a team and coordinate timelines effectively
