Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize the full procurement and logistics process. This role involves leading all aspects of supply chain operations, ensuring compliance, managing vendor relationships, and supporting the company’s overall goals within the oil and gas servicing sector.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy and Operations

• Develop and implement procurement and logistics strategies aligned with business objectives
• Conduct market surveys and trend analysis to guide procurement decisions
• Manage order placements, delivery follow-up, and budget-controlled cost allocation

Procurement and Vendor Management

• Lead the procurement cycle from vendor selection to contract negotiation
• Evaluate vendor contracts and ensure compliance and performance standards
• Maintain effective communication with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services

Supply Chain Optimization

• Identify risks in the supply chain and implement mitigation strategies
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics providers to manage documentation and timelines
• Monitor and improve supplier performance continuously

Team Leadership and Development

• Hire, train, and mentor procurement team members
• Recommend and implement relevant training programs for continuous growth
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and support a high-performance culture

Compliance and Quality

• Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards
• Enforce QHSE policies across supply chain operations
• Manage processes according to ISO 9001 standards and participate in audits

Reporting and Communication

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all supply chain activities
• Provide regular updates and performance metrics to management
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve delivery and logistics issues

Requirements

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field
• A Master’s Degree or professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, PMP) is an added advantage

Experience

• At least 15 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management
• Minimum of 7 years working in the oil and gas sector with both local and international sourcing exposure

Skills and Competencies

• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Deep knowledge of procurement laws, contracts, and logistics
• Expertise in negotiation and vendor management
• Familiarity with ISO and QHSE standards
• Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills

Salary
N2,000,000 – N2,500,000 per month (Gross)
