Job Description
As a teacher at Akwa Recruits, you will be responsible for creating a dynamic and inclusive classroom where students can thrive. You will deliver lessons in line with curriculum standards, assess student progress, and collaborate with parents and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Literature in line with approved curriculum standards.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning, critical thinking, and student well-being.
- Assess student performance through assignments, tests, and projects, and provide timely feedback.
- Maintain effective classroom discipline and structure.
- Communicate regularly with parents and participate in parent-teacher meetings.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support student success and participate in extracurricular activities and school events.
- Stay updated with educational best practices and engage in professional development programs.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area.
- Certification: Valid TRCN (Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria) certificate.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years teaching experience, with proven ability to teach both British and Nigerian curricula, including IGCSE.
- Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues.
- In-depth knowledge of subject matter and effective teaching methods.
- Adaptability to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Positive, proactive, and team-oriented mindset.
Salary
₦100,000 – ₦120,000 monthly.
