Role Overview

We are hiring a Trainee Engineer to support on site construction activities for building projects. The role is ideal for a recent graduate or early career engineer who wants hands on experience in site supervision and basic engineering tasks. You will work closely with the Senior Engineer or Site Manager and learn practical site operations while contributing to daily project activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily site supervision to ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, and timelines
• Read and apply architectural and structural drawings during site execution
• Assist with setting out, measurements, and basic surveying tasks under supervision
• Participate in routine quality checks on materials and completed work
• Help identify issues on site and report them to senior team members
• Keep proper site records such as daily reports, material usage logs, photos, and attendance
• Monitor material usage and report shortages or delivery delays
• Assist in coordinating site workers, contractors, and subcontractors
• Follow site safety rules and environmental practices
• Attend site meetings and help prepare simple progress updates

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related course
• Zero to two years of practical or site experience
• Ability to understand and use architectural and structural drawings
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel
• Willingness to learn new construction and project tools
• Good numerical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate clearly and work well in a team
• Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and site safety

Salary

N80,000 and N100,000
