Position Overview
Job Title: Waiter / Waitress
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers warmly and present menus
- Take accurate orders and relay them to the kitchen or bar
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and resolve concerns politely
- Clear and reset tables for new guests
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area
- Follow hygiene and safety guidelines at all times
- Process customer payments and issue receipts
- Assist in setting up before service and closing after service
- Promote menu items and upsell when appropriate
Requirements
- Minimum of SSCE; hospitality training is an advantage
- 1–3 years’ experience as a waiter/waitress in a restaurant, hotel, lounge, or catering service
- Good spoken English and excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Polite, respectful, and customer-service oriented
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Presentable appearance with good personal hygiene
Salary
N150,000 monthly
