Job Title: Warehouse Officer

Job Summary

The Warehouse Officer will work closely with the Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Supervisor to ensure proper storage, documentation, and reporting of goods in line with the International Medical Corps Warehouse Manual, donor requirements, and local laws. The role requires maintaining good storage conditions, accurate stock records, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

• Implement IMC warehouse procedures in compliance with donor and legal requirements
• Ensure commodities are stored in correct locations under proper conditions
• Monitor storage conditions including temperature and humidity control
• Track stock levels, shelf life, and report discrepancies or damages
• Maintain accurate and transparent stock records and reports
• Supervise volunteers, casual labor, and visitors in the warehouse
• Manage receiving, stacking, and releasing goods in line with approved orders
• Ensure goods are packed to minimize damage during handling and transport
• Coordinate with logistics for transportation and proper documentation
• Conduct regular stock checks, control counts, and quality inspections
• Maintain a clean, organized, and pest-free warehouse environment

Staff Support and Development

• Train, guide, and supervise warehouse support staff and labor
• Promote teamwork and professional relationships within the team

Compliance and Reporting

• Ensure activities follow IMC policies, donor rules, and local laws
• Maintain complete and auditable warehouse transaction records
• Submit timely and accurate stock reports to management
• Implement corrective measures from audits or compliance reviews

Fraud Prevention

• Promote fraud prevention, detection, and reporting in warehouse operations

Technology and Systems

• Support the use of software solutions for stock management
• Ensure consistent and accurate data entry in warehouse systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant warehouse management experience
• Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to work in challenging and remote environments
• Experience with medical commodities and cold chain management is an advantage
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Valid Pharmacist license required (for managing medical warehouse)
