Job Title: WordPress Web Maintenance Intern (NYSC)

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Responsibilities

The WordPress Web Maintenance Intern will provide website support and ensure smooth functionality of multiple organizational sites. Key duties include:

• Managing and maintaining WordPress websites with attention to design, usability, and performance
• Monitoring and updating three or more organizational websites regularly
• Implementing and maintaining strong security measures
• Running updates and maintenance to ensure optimal website performance
• Conducting routine quality tests to identify and fix issues
• Improving user experience and site navigation
• Performing content audits to remove duplicate or outdated information
• Integrating and managing content to align with branding and visibility strategies
• Collaborating with developers and content teams to maintain website consistency
• Supporting additional tasks such as data analysis, visualization, content writing, graphics, and administrative work as assigned

Mandatory Qualifications

• HND or B.Sc. in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Social Sciences, or other relevant disciplines
• Previous experience in website maintenance
• Strong understanding of web design principles and best practices
• High proficiency in WordPress including theme and plugin customization
• Good knowledge of SEO and website optimization techniques
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• Strong written and verbal communication in English
• High integrity and ability to work in a multicultural environment

Preferred Qualifications

(Not mandatory but an advantage)

• Experience with Elementor theme and plugin customization
• Familiarity with Google Analytics or similar website monitoring tools
• Skills in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD)
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, or related web technologies
• Experience with data analytics software such as PowerBI, Tableau, or advanced Excel
• Knowledge of R, Stata, or SPSS for statistical analysis
• Familiarity with both quantitative and qualitative research processes

• 2025 Corps Members currently serving or entering NYSC orientation camp are strongly encouraged to apply
• Applicants must be deployed to Abuja or willing to redeploy to Abuja
