As an Audit Manager at Mazars Nigeria, you will play a pivotal role in leading audit engagements, providing strategic insights, and driving innovation within the Audit & Assurance team. Your expertise will guide the use of advanced data analytics and digital audit tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage end-to-end audit engagements, ensuring they are completed within budget and on schedule.
  • Develop and implement tailored audit strategies and perform comprehensive risk assessments based on client needs.
  • Provide expert advice on complex accounting issues and keep clients updated on evolving regulatory frameworks.
  • Review and approve financial statements, audit reports, and management letters.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client executives, building strong relationships and identifying opportunities to provide additional value.
  • Monitor the performance of audit engagements, ensuring profitability and compliance with internal quality standards.
  • Mentor and develop audit seniors and associates, fostering talent growth and supporting succession planning.
  • Integrate digital audit tools and data analytics to promote innovation within the team.
  • Collaborate with partners and directors on business development, proposal creation, and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Ensure all audit documentation is archived timely and complies with firm policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND (Upper Credit) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English, in one sitting.
  • ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification (mandatory).
  • At least 6 years of progressive audit experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS, ISA, GAAP, and regulatory reporting standards.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and client relationship skills.
  • Ability to drive team performance and innovation while aligning with the firm’s core values.
