Medecins du Monde (MdM) is an international humanitarian organization providing medical care to vulnerable communities globally. Operating in Borno State, Nigeria since 2016, MdM works closely with affected populations to deliver essential health services.
We are currently looking for a Logistics Assistant to join our team in Abuja.

Contract Duration: 1.5 Months
Monthly Salary: ₦400,000 – ₦500,000

Key Responsibilities
Purchasing and Procurement
- Handle local purchasing following MdM procedures
- Ensure cost-effective and quality-driven procurement
- Collect quotes, evaluate suppliers, and complete proper documentation
- Coordinate delivery of goods and gather proof of receipt
- Maintain accurate financial records and justify weekly allowances
- Avoid accepting money, gifts, or incentives from suppliers
Stock and Inventory Management
- Receive, inspect, and store supplies properly
- Conduct regular inventory checks and updates
- Report any discrepancies in orders or damaged goods
- Keep stock records up to date and organized
- Share monthly stock reports
Vehicle Coordination
- Ensure daily and weekly vehicle maintenance
- Supervise drivers and review vehicle logbooks
- Organize transportation schedules and assign drivers
- Maintain vehicle usage records
Office and Guesthouse Management
- Oversee repairs and maintenance for the office and guesthouse
- Purchase needed materials and coordinate repairs
- Manage daily needs of the guesthouse
Energy and Power Support
- Monitor city power usage and generator operations
- Schedule maintenance and manage fuel refilling
- Share monthly fuel consumption reports
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with all departments for smooth logistics operations
- Be adaptable and ready to support logistics activities as needed
- Report any security concerns to the appropriate focal point
IT and Language Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication in English (written and spoken)
- Hausa or Kanuri language skills are a plus
