Job Overview
WDCL is looking for an experienced Account Officer to manage and report financial activities within its oil and gas operations. This role requires a candidate with a strong background in project finance and industry accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily financial transactions including payables, receivables, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare accurate financial statements and project-specific financial reports
- Track project expenses, revenues, and operational costs
- Support audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance processes
- Maintain accurate documentation and manage relationships with clients and vendors
- Assist with budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting activities
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ accounting experience in the oil and gas industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- ICAN or ACCA certification is an added advantage
- Solid understanding of oil and gas accounting, contract management, and project finance
- Skilled in using accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
