We are currently hiring for the position below:
Position: Assistant Maintenance Manager
Location: Apapa, Lagos
Industry: Food Manufacturing / FMCG
Role Overview
You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities on Rovema packing machines, Buhler packing machines, Carousels, and bag sealers. Your goal will be to ensure maximum machine availability, operational efficiency, and safety while minimizing downtime and cost.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the inspection, installation, and testing of new plant equipment to ensure alignment with specifications
- Manage preventive and corrective maintenance for all relevant machinery including conveyors, Rovema and Buhler packing machines, and bag sealers
- Collaborate with the maintenance planner and other stakeholders to develop work plans and maintenance schedules
- Lead and manage the performance of the maintenance team to meet departmental and organizational goals
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and submit regular reports to the Maintenance Manager – Packing
Qualifications
- B.Sc. or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
