Job Role: Electrician (Preventive Maintenance)
Location: Apapa, Lagos
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Electrician to handle the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient electrical operations, with a strong focus on safety and preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, control panels, and other electrical components
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance to minimize unexpected breakdowns
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform effective repairs
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to complete tasks accurately and on time
- Upgrade or replace electrical components to optimize performance
- Strictly follow safety procedures and protocols to ensure a secure work environment
- Interpret and work with technical documents such as blueprints and wiring diagrams
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 O’ Level credits including Mathematics and English (not more than 2 sittings)
- Technical certifications are an added advantage
Experience
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in an industrial or technical field
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and theory
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on safety and precision
