Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team in Agbara, Ogun State. This role is ideal for someone who values reliability, safety, and operational efficiency in maintaining electrical systems across a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
Plant Operations Support
  • Follow all company and plant rules while actively supporting safety and continuous improvement programs.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot making and packaging equipment, carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Respond promptly to equipment faults or breakdowns and perform necessary repairs.
  • Participate in plant shutdowns, overhauls, and improvement projects.
  • Provide technical assistance to other electrical teams during emergencies.
  • Support project-related electrical work and contribute to system enhancements.
  • Identify recurring electrical issues and recommend effective long-term solutions.
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff in electrical engineering practices.
  • Act as the technical expert on electrical circuits, fault diagnosis, repairs, and instrumentation.
  • Complete all required job documentation accurately and promptly.
Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)
  • Strictly follow Unilever’s safety policies, rules, and environmental standards.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of 5S and safety initiatives within designated areas.
Autonomous Maintenance (AM)
  • Complete AM tasks in your area of responsibility, ensuring targets are met to enhance reliability and drive continuous improvement.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum of a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a maintenance or industrial manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Omron).
  • Competent in SAP, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding ability.
  • Knowledge of lockout/tag-out procedures and proper use of all relevant tools and equipment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
