Role Overview

The Facility Manager will ensure that all building structures utilities and infrastructure are properly maintained safe and fully operational. The position requires hands on oversight of maintenance security vendor relations and environmental safety while ensuring a productive and comfortable work environment for staff students and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Facilities Operations and Maintenance

• Supervise daily operations of electrical plumbing mechanical and carpentry systems

• Implement preventive maintenance schedules

• Coordinate prompt repairs to minimize downtime

• Conduct routine facility inspections to ensure functionality

Health Safety and Environmental Compliance

• Enforce compliance with HSE standards

• Carry out safety checks and risk assessments

• Lead emergency preparedness procedures and safety drills

• Ensure proper waste disposal and clean surroundings

Vendor and Contract Supervision

• Manage external contractors for cleaning security pest control and repairs

• Negotiate service contracts for quality and cost efficiency

• Monitor contractor performance and service delivery

Budget and Resource Control

• Prepare and manage maintenance and utilities budgets

• Track expenditure and ensure cost effective operations

• Maintain accurate records of assets and service contracts

Infrastructure and Project Management

• Oversee renovation and upgrade projects

• Work with engineers architects and contractors

• Ensure timely and within budget project completion

Team Coordination and Collaboration

• Supervise technicians cleaners and security personnel

• Train and motivate facility staff to maintain standards

• Work with internal departments to meet facility needs

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in facility management or maintenance operations

• Strong knowledge of building systems and HSE regulations

• Excellent vendor and budget management skills

• Ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple activities

• Good communication and problem solving skills

• Organized proactive and detail oriented
