Job Title: Fluids Advisor III
Location: Lagos

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fluids Advisor to support technical and operational aspects of drilling and completion fluids, solids control, and waste management. This role will play a key part in ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant fluid operations on drilling sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance on fluid selection, design, and operational support
• Monitor and report on drilling and completion fluid performance and inventory
• Conduct daily surveillance of mud properties, product usage, and solids control efficiency
• Work with Drilling Engineers to prepare fluid and cementing programs
• Ensure lab and field equipment are functional, calibrated, and used effectively
• Supervise the accuracy of fluid reports and ensure justified chemical additions
• Manage contracts and vendor performance for fluids, cementing, and waste services
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental standards
• Support planning and execution of cementing operations
• Monitor cement slurry testing and close out non-conformance reports

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline preferred
• Strong background in drilling fluids, waste management, and solids control
• Deepwater drilling experience (1000m+) is an added advantage
• Familiarity with both water-based and non-aqueous fluid systems
• Competent in cementing program development and execution
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other reporting tools
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Fluency in English (spoken and written)
• Prior experience with legacy MPN operations is essential
