Role Overview
We’re looking for a dedicated Gas Power EHS High Risk Operations Specialist to join our Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Center of Excellence (COE) team. This role plays a key part in developing and implementing strategies that help manage and control high-risk operations within the Gas Power division.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on high-risk EHS operations such as confined space entry, mechanical lifting, work at height, machine safety, and powered tools.
- Develop, revise, and implement EHS programs and procedures aligned with GE Vernova’s Life Saving Rules and regulatory standards.
- Use data insights to identify risk trends and lead improvements in safety performance.
- Support change management initiatives to build a proactive safety culture.
- Lead incident investigations to ensure root causes are accurately identified and addressed.
- Participate in regulatory audits and risk-based assessments across operations and project sites.
- Travel to supply chain and field locations to support high-risk operations and process validation.
- Apply LEAN methodologies to streamline processes and enhance safety outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree or advanced safety diploma from a recognized institution (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in managing Environmental Health & Safety in high-risk operational environments.
Eligibility Criteria
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Willing and able to travel up to 35%.
- Available to collaborate across global time zones.
- For U.S. applicants, residency in CST or EST time zones is required.
Preferred Skills and Attributes
- Strong background in EHS high-risk operations and technical certifications.
- Solid understanding of global safety regulations.
- Experience with policy development and practical implementation.
- Independent, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable with international travel when necessary.
