The company is currently seeking a detail oriented Junior Accountant to support financial operations and ensure efficient inventory management across multiple project sites.

Role Overview

The Junior Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and overseeing inventory tracking for construction materials. The role involves handling supplier invoices managing stock levels reconciling site expenses and preparing regular financial and inventory reports to support decision making.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare review and process purchase bills and invoices for supplier payments

• Maintain accurate financial records in accounting software such as Sage

• Prepare weekly and monthly financial statements and reports

• Monitor inventory usage across project sites and reconcile materials issued and received

• Track re order levels and notify procurement to prevent shortages

• Review and reconcile project expenses petty cash and material costs

• Prepare payment instructions and liaise with banks for execution

• Conduct supplier and payment reconciliations for financial accuracy

• Post daily financial transactions including receipts and journal entries

• Generate reports highlighting pending bills material balances and cost variances

• Assist in developing internal control procedures for expenses and inventory

• Support preparation of monthly management reports and project cost summaries

• Perform additional accounting tasks as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field

• Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting and inventory management

• Experience in the construction industry is an advantage

• Proficiency in Sage Excel and other accounting tools

• Strong data analysis and reporting skills

• Good communication and collaboration abilities

• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment

Salary

₦200,000 per month
