Borno Women Development Initiative (BOWDI) is a registered, women-led, non-profit organization based in Borno State, Nigeria. We are actively involved in humanitarian and development work across Northeast Nigeria, with a strong focus on education, peacebuilding, advocacy, food security, livelihoods, and protection programs.

We are currently seeking a reliable and professional Office Driver II to join our team.

Location: Borno State
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Procurement and Logistics Officer, the Office Driver II will be responsible for:

  • Providing safe, timely, and secure driving services for staff and official duties
  • Ensuring vehicle maintenance and efficient use, including daily log updates and reports
  • Performing regular vehicle checks, arranging repairs, oil changes, brake inspections, and keeping the car clean
  • Maintaining up-to-date documentation including insurance, vehicle logs, office directory, and a first aid kit
  • Taking immediate action in line with procedures in the event of an accident
  • Ensuring that the assigned vehicle insurance is valid at all times
Requirements

Language Skills

  • Must be able to communicate in English
  • Understanding of the local language is required

  • Strong ability to work independently and manage time effectively under pressure
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Team player with flexibility and adaptability in a multicultural environment
  • Good knowledge of driving regulations and basic vehicle maintenance
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with strong attention to detail
