About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Project Security Manager to join our dynamic team in Lagos. This role plays a key part in ensuring robust security strategies are in place for our Exploration, Development, and Project Execution efforts within Shell Companies in Nigeria (SCiN).
Where You’ll Fit In
You will be part of the team responsible for managing security risks and supporting functional aspects of various projects. You’ll collaborate closely with Project Directors, Managers, General Managers, and other business stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose, risk-based security solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement effective security frameworks for upcoming and ongoing projects
- Ensure every project has a tailored, cost-effective security solution that minimizes risks
- Lead security teams, manage resources, and deliver clear outcomes
- Oversee security planning in project execution strategies and contractor agreements
- Ensure all security deliverables meet Shell’s Opportunity Realisation Standards (ORS)
- Align with Shell’s Group Security Standards and HSSE&SP Control Framework
- Collaborate with contractors and vendors to maintain high security standards
- Navigate complex security dynamics, especially across the Niger Delta
- Manage onshore and offshore security logistics
- Work in partnership with cross-functional teams including CR and SE departments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution
- A postgraduate qualification is an added advantage
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in security-related roles
- Proven track record in delivering cost-effective and safe projects
- Solid understanding of the Exploration & Production (E&P) business, especially in the Niger Delta and Gulf of Guinea
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage teams, collaborate across functions, and meet tight deadlines
