Job Objective
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Operations Manager to oversee and streamline WIOCC’s logistics operations. You will ensure smooth and cost-effective movement of goods while maintaining high customer service standards, compliance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Global Logistics Management

  • Manage international logistics operations across air, sea, and road freight.
  • Ensure compliance with global trade regulations, local customs laws, and internal policies.
  • Track shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely deliveries and minimizing disruptions.
  • Coordinate pre-shipment inspections and work with freight forwarders, customs agents, and third-party logistics providers.

Documentation & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure accurate logistics documentation, including invoices, customs declarations, inspection reports, and delivery notes.
  • Guarantee compliance with international and local customs regulations, ensuring proper HS codes and tax rates.
  • Review and approve logistics purchase orders, ensuring proper documentation is attached.

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Identify, onboard, and manage global logistics partners, including freight forwarders and transportation providers.
  • Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms, ensuring service quality and cost efficiency.
  • Evaluate vendor performance regularly and maintain strong relationships with service providers.
  • Enhance the overall vendor and customer experience.

Inventory & Warehouse Coordination

  • Support stock management, ensuring timely replenishment and inventory availability.
  • Coordinate deliveries with stock controllers and project managers, both locally and internationally.
  • Reconcile received goods and ensure timely system updates in NetSuite.
  • Implement a standardised reverse logistics process for returned goods.

Process Optimisation & Reporting

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Generate regular performance reports with actionable insights.
  • Drive automation initiatives and develop real-time dashboards for performance monitoring.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance delivery timelines and customer satisfaction.

Problem Solving & Issue Resolution

  • Act as the escalation point for logistics-related challenges, ensuring prompt resolutions.
  • Manage emergency logistics needs and provide solutions during disruptions.

Sustainability & Innovation

  • Promote sustainable logistics practices to reduce environmental impact.
  • Stay updated on logistics technologies to foster innovation within the supply chain.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with procurement to review supplier quotes and ensure compliance before issuing POs.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to verify documentation and ensure timely vendor payments.
  • Support procurement efforts in vendor evaluation and sourcing activities.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CILT, CSCP, or CIPS are highly desirable.
  • IT proficiency, including experience with logistics management systems and ERP software (e.g., NetSuite), is an advantage.

Experience & Skills

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in logistics or supply chain management in a multinational environment.
  • Proven track record in managing end-to-end logistics operations, including international shipping and vendor management.
  • Expertise in customs regulations, HS code declarations, and import/export procedures.
  • Experience with warehouse and inventory management.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of logistics for the telecom or technology sector is an advantage.
