Position Overview: Pharmacy Technician

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for dispensing medications, preparing prescriptions, and offering exceptional counseling to patients. The role also involves maintaining stock levels of medications and ensuring the proper storage of pharmaceutical products to preserve their quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by managing tickets and escalations raised by the customer care team. Address inquiries and direct them to the appropriate team or personnel.
  • Assist in managing prescription orders, which includes tasks such as creating, updating, and tracking prescriptions and patient information.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels of medications and pharmaceutical products. Monitor stock, restock shelves, and alert the pharmacist when stock is running low.
  • Offer administrative support to the pharmacy team, including organizing records, filing paperwork, and managing communications.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and service providers to ensure smooth pharmacy operations. This includes managing relationships with vendors, placing orders, tracking deliveries, and addressing any supply issues.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, other pharmacy technicians, doctors, nurses, and customer care teams to ensure seamless operations and excellent service delivery.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A Certificate in Pharmacy Technician is required.
  • Must be registered with the Board of Pharmacy and hold a valid practicing license.
  • At least 1 year of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Proficient in processing prescriptions electronically and ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Experience providing patient counseling. Fluency in multiple languages is an added advantage.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain medical concepts in simple terms.
  • Expertise in supply and inventory management.
  • Knowledge of commonly prescribed medications.
