We are currently hiring for the following position:

Job Title: Plant Technician, Electrical

Location: Calabar, Cross River
Employment Type: Full-time
Department: Contract Delivery

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on W50 DF engines as per OEM recommendations.
  • Maintain and update equipment maintenance records, logbooks, and Maximo database daily.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report issues to the supervisor.
  • Plan and track spare parts usage while optimizing costs.
  • Operate and maintain W50 engines (UNICS/WECS) efficiently.
  • Manage and service auxiliary equipment, including pumps, oil separators, alternators, small generators, firefighting systems, RO plants, radiators, MCC, and DBB units.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and maintain a safe, clean working environment in the plant.
Educational Requirements
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Required Experience & Skills
  • 5 to 6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Hands-on experience with gas engines.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance data analysis.
  • Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
  • Experience with Wartsila Gas Engines (especially W50DF) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance best practices.
