Role Overview

We’re hiring a Project Coordinator to oversee the implementation of ECHO and SIDA-funded projects. You’ll be responsible for managing project scope, timelines, budgets, quality, and risks. This role involves coordinating program managers, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and adapting project plans to the evolving humanitarian context.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and update of the Project Implementation Plan (PIP)
  • Prepare detailed weekly/monthly activity plans for project teams
  • Manage key project documents including procurement plans, M&E plans, and budgets
  • Ensure data collection, safeguarding, and documentation meet internal standards
  • Coordinate with internal departments to remove operational bottlenecks
  • Support assessments, reporting, and adaptive project management
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor project quality and compliance
  • Align activities with donor guidelines and humanitarian principles
  • Provide staff induction, training, supervision, and performance reviews
  • Identify training needs and support team development
  • Promote collaboration across teams and ensure knowledge sharing
  • Address conflicts, boost team motivation, and ensure adherence to organizational values
  • Track project risks and report key changes in the operational context
  • Represent Action Against Hunger in external stakeholder meetings when needed
  • Facilitate partnerships, especially with local implementing organizations
  • Monitor partner activities, budgets, and ensure compliance with standards
  • Produce regular reports, success stories, and contribute to proposal writing
  • Ensure timely and quality reporting (e.g., monthly and quarterly project reports)
  • Lead on learning initiatives, research, and project-based improvements
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience managing multisector projects with an INGO
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills
  • Solid knowledge of financial management and donor budgeting (ECHO, EU, SIDA)
  • Proven track record in managing mid to large-sized teams
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to think creatively, work under pressure, and adapt to challenges
  • Experience working with local partners and navigating humanitarian frameworks
  • Strong decision-making ability and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
