Project Director to lead an upcoming UNITAID-funded project focused on eliminating the vertical transmission of HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B, and Chagas disease in affected regions. This initiative is part of the Triple Elimination approach, integrating HIV interventions with other sexually transmitted infections to enhance efficiency and impact.
As the Project Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the project’s technical, managerial, and strategic implementation, ensuring alignment with UNITAID’s objectives and strengthening global leadership in public health.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of project execution, from planning to implementation.
- Provide strategic and technical leadership to ensure successful program delivery.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including UNITAID, WHO, and other global health organizations.
- Oversee project budgets, resources, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Foster collaboration among partners to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress, evaluate outcomes, and ensure timely reporting.
- Guide and mentor project teams to drive excellence and innovation.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Master’s, PhD, or MD in Public Health or a related field, with expertise in midwifery, obstetrics, or pediatrics.
Experience:
- At least 10 years in global health program management, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
- At least 8 years of expertise in HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis prevention, diagnostics, and treatment.
- Experience managing large-scale health projects and multi-partner collaborations.
Skills:
- Strong leadership, networking, and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent project and personnel management abilities.
- Familiarity with UNITAID programs and regulations (preferred).
- Fluent in English; French proficiency is a plus.
Availability: Must be willing to travel nationally and internationally up to 25 percent.
