Role Overview
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchase Officer to join our growing team. This role is vital in managing procurement operations and ensuring smooth coordination with suppliers and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and source new products, suppliers, and vendors
- Negotiate cost-effective contracts and deals for goods and services
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies when needed
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities
- Inspect stock, report faults or inconsistencies
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, payments, and deliveries
- Coordinate with delivery teams and manage order timelines
- Attend industry events and product launches
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and vendors
- Ensure proper packaging and timely delivery of all stock
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Proficient in procurement or inventory management software
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities
- Good knowledge of market trends and ability to work under pressure
- Attention to detail and ability to follow specifications
- Effective time management and networking skills
