Role Overview

The Account Officer will support daily financial operations including transaction recording reporting forecasting and tax computation. The role involves collaborating with the Senior Accountant to maintain strong internal controls ensure compliance and deliver accurate management reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting systems including access control and records reconciliation

• Prepare and review cash forecasts with regular variance analysis

• Monitor costs and expenditures against budgets and forecasts

• Assist in the preparation of year end accounts quarterly forecasts and annual budgets

• Support internal financial control reviews and process improvements

• Ensure proper implementation of company financial policies and procedures

• Compute applicable taxes in line with regulations

• Maintain accurate financial records and monthly reports

• Develop and support budgeting and financial reporting processes

• Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial analysis

Qualifications and Skills

• BSc in Accounting

• Minimum of 3 years accounting experience

• Proficiency in QuickBooks mandatory

• Professional certifications such as ICAN or ACCA are an advantage

• Strong knowledge of budgeting forecasting and cost control

• Experience with accounting software tools

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• High level of self motivation and attention to detail

Salary

N150,000 to N200,000 monthly gross
