Job Overview

We are currently hiring a skilled Reservoir Engineer / Advisor II to join our team in Lagos. This role is ideal for experienced professionals looking to contribute to the strategic development and implementation of reservoir engineering plans in a dynamic project environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic guidance to the Reservoir Leadership Team to support performance targets
  • Develop and implement reservoir management programs and technical plans
  • Mentor and support junior engineers in reservoir studies and simulations
  • Lead or support simulation studies involving Pressure-Volume-Temperature (PVT), inflow/outflow, relative permeability, SCAL, and other reservoir characteristics
  • Evaluate various depletion strategies and conduct assessments for asset acquisition
  • Participate in technical peer reviews to maintain high standards
  • Collaborate with drilling, facilities, and multidisciplinary teams to align engineering input with project goals
  • Present findings and plans through well-documented reports and presentations
  • Contribute to risk management activities, uncertainty analyses, and safety reviews
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry regulations
  • Support effective team communication and coordination across technical groups
Job Requirements
  • A university degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in reservoir engineering within the oil and gas industry
  • Strong command of reservoir engineering principles and simulation techniques
  • Ability to independently conduct and interpret reservoir evaluations and simulations
  • Skilled in software tools and data analysis related to dynamic modeling
  • Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working under pressure and managing shifting project priorities
  • Proven ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other technical applications
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Willingness to travel or work in remote locations as needed
