Job Role: Verification Officer
Location: Abuja (FCT) & Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct background checks on potential hires including education, employment history, address, and criminal records
- Work closely with HR teams and line managers to confirm references and employment details
- Respond to background verification inquiries in a timely and accurate manner
- Flag and report candidate profiles based on company guidelines
- Keep detailed records of all verifications for future use
- Ensure timely collection and reporting of all required information
What You’ll Need
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in background verification
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confident working with internal teams and external clients
