About the Role
We are on the lookout for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining the core API infrastructure that powers all aspects of our delivery ecosystem — from customer orders to restaurant coordination and rider logistics.
You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable features that improve the entire user experience.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and enhance APIs, services, and backend systems
- Solve complex technical challenges and improve system performance
- Diagnose and fix production issues across services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product excellence
- Contribute to technical discussions and propose solutions to improve our systems and processes
- Identify and address technical debt to increase development efficiency
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience building and scaling large backend systems
- Solid knowledge of Node.js, JavaScript, and MySQL
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for performance optimization
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Passion for delivering excellent user experiences and customer satisfaction
- Leadership or mentoring experience is a plus
