Role Overview

The Senior Finance Officer will manage daily financial operations ensure accurate reporting and support compliance across all financial activities. This role involves supervising processes financial analysis stakeholder communication and supporting audits. The position reports to the Finance Manager and requires leadership capability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in line with IFRS

  • Record journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts

  • Generate monthly financial reports including revenue and expenditure statements

  • Maintain accurate records in electronic accounting systems such as SAGE 200

  • Perform bank reconciliations and wire transfers

  • Track receivables and prepare reimbursement billings

  • Develop and monitor budgets with variance analysis

  • Prepare audit schedules and support external audit processes

  • Produce management accounts including profit and loss balance sheet and ageing reports

  • Manage cash flow forecasting treasury reports and disbursements

  • Process tax computations including PAYE VAT WHT and company income tax

  • Maintain an updated inventory of company assets

  • Prepare invoices for customers and clients

  • Assist in the preparation of annual and mid year budgets

  • Support regulatory reviews and audits

  • Perform additional finance duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills

  • Proven experience in financial statements preparation

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations

  • Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel

  • Leadership ability with prior team coordination experience

  • Experience in healthcare industry finance is an advantage
