Role Overview

The Senior Loan Officer and SME Relationship Manager will drive SME lending operations from client acquisition to portfolio management. The role involves credit assessment loan origination risk evaluation and relationship building to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Source identify and onboard SME clients in alignment with lending objectives

• Conduct loan appraisals risk assessments and financial evaluations

• Structure and recommend credit facilities based on client needs

• Manage and grow an active loan portfolio while minimizing default exposure

• Maintain continuous engagement with clients to ensure post disbursement support

• Develop partnerships to expand lending reach and market penetration

• Collaborate with internal units for smooth loan processing and monitoring

• Track market trends and recommend product or process improvements

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelors degree in Business Finance Economics or related discipline

• Minimum of three to five years of experience in SME lending commercial banking or relationship management

• Proven expertise in loan origination credit analysis and portfolio supervision

• Background in Microfinance Credit Intermediation or Asset Management is an advantage

• Strong communication negotiation and interpersonal skills

• Target driven mindset with evidence of achieving financial goals

Salary

• ₦650,000 per month with room for negotiation based on experience and performance
