Role Overview
We are hiring a Secondary School Physics Teacher to join a school academic team in Ibadan. This role is ideal for a dedicated educator who enjoys teaching Physics and can confidently handle both the Cambridge and Nigerian curricula. The teacher will support students in building strong scientific thinking, practical skills, and exam confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and teach Physics lessons based on the Cambridge and Nigerian curricula
- Guide students for internal tests and external examinations such as WAEC and IGCSE
- Create lesson plans, schemes of work, and teaching materials
- Conduct Physics practicals and ensure safety in the laboratory
- Evaluate students’ performance and maintain academic records
- Manage classroom activities and maintain a positive learning environment
- Take part in staff meetings, training sessions, and school programs
- Support students’ academic growth and character development
Qualifications and Skills
- B.Ed in Physics or B.Sc in Physics or Physics Education with PGDE completed or in progress
- TRCN registration is an added advantage
- M.Ed or M.Sc in a related field will be beneficial
- At least 2 years of teaching experience at the secondary school level
- Experience teaching both Cambridge and Nigerian curricula
- Good understanding of Physics theory and practical work
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
Salary
Monthly salary starts from N120,000
