Role Overview
We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Officer to ensure our cement production process aligns with strict quality standards. Your responsibility will be to follow production specifications precisely, maintain consistency, and implement quality control practices that meet both regulatory and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine product analysis in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Record test results using Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) or traditional documentation methods
- Verify testing data against established specifications following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and processes
- Ensure all quality control tasks comply with safety and housekeeping standards
- Provide feedback on procedures and suggest improvements where necessary
- Carry out any additional duties as assigned by your supervisor
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry, or related discipline
- 3 to 12 years of relevant experience in a quality assurance role
- Strong attention to detail and excellent reading comprehension
- Skilled in using computerized systems for testing and documentation
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Proficient in various chemical testing methods
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Good understanding of mathematical concepts including conversions, decimals, and algebra
- Ability to follow written procedures and work independently
- Familiarity with ISO systems is an added advantage
- Willingness to work flexible hours when needed
- Must complete training and required examinations
